Meet Carrington Elementary's Masked Readers: In the green suit is Mr. Erickson, kitchen staff; starring as the shark is Mrs. Lee, custodian; in the purple costume is Mrs. Mindy Lura, star substitute; and starring as the dinosaur is Mrs. Helm! The winning book of our March Madness Book Tournament for Reading Month was The Book with No Pictures by B.J. Novak! These masked readers each read a portion of the book. Our students' favorite masked reader was Mr. Erickson! The trickiest masked reader, whom our students could not figure out, was Mrs. Lee!

Yesterday, at Carrington Elementary, we celebrated our annual Bingo for Books event as part of our Reading Month activities! It’s a wonderful event with fun had by all! All students leave with multiple books to add to their home collection. Another great thing about this event is that our 3rd grade students pair up to help their Kindergarten Buddies! We had an awesome selection of new books thanks to generous donations from the Carrington Wrestling Booster Club and the Legion Auxiliary! (Donations from the Carrington Wrestling Booster Club are the result of gaming donations from Headlocks, The Chieftain, Crossroads Golf Course, and Gettin’ Sauced on 281). Thanks also to our infamous bingo caller, Kevin Wolsky, for always taking his time to support our event!
