This message is in regard to the altercation that happened at school on 4/10. The situation is under investigation, & we're working with the Police Department to resolve the issue. This was an isolated incident, and we take all acts of violence seriously. I will be meeting with 7-12th grade students today.

Carrington Elementary had the pleasure of hosting North Dakota’s Gateway to Science and Department of Health and Human Services who brought 2 1/2 hours of hands on programming to our students! The programming centered around possible career paths in ND related to public health including pediatricians, epidemiologists, and virologists.

That’s a wrap on Reading Month! It was filled with Dress up days, field trips to the city library, a Dewey Decimal Reading Challenge, Bingo for Books, Blackout Reading in the gym, and taping Mrs. Helseth to the wall (if you made your AR goal)! Thanks to all who made it possible!

Prom photos will be taken from 2:00-6:00pm. Prom attendees can come any time during those hours.
All prom attendees must report to the gym by 6:30pm. At 7:00pm a junior class photo and a senior class photo will be taken. We will start lining up for the Grand March at around 7:15pm.

Carrington School District will have a two hour delayed start tomorrow. We will not be running rural buses in the morning. We will be running buses for our city stops.

Congratulations to Nela McKibben for placing 8th in 3D at State Archery!! This qualifies her for Nationals! Nice work, Nela!

They even had the opportunity to take a picture with Senator Armstrong!

Eight of our middle school students have qualified for the state Mathcounts competition! The top 5 students in our region were all from Carrington - Nick Pierson, Howie Simonson, Vera Wittman, Brooke Almond, and Laken Johnson! In addition, Carrington had the 1st place team which was made up of Nick, Brooke, Laken, and Cally Hansen! Mya Neis and Emery Patzer also had high enough individual scores to qualify for state! The state competition will be held in Bismarck on March 25. Best of luck to you all!

We are welcoming Kadyn Mehring and McKenzie Johnson as 4th Grade Teachers for the 2024-2025 School Year! Both are CHS grads and have also student taught and done substitute teaching for us!
Kadyn is a graduate of the University of Jamestown. She enjoys hanging out with friends and family, volleyball, and traveling. She will also be coaching volleyball for the district. She is currently teaching 4th grade for Jamestown Public Schools.
McKenzie is a graduate of Bismarck State College and Dickinson State University. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and all kinds of sports and outdoor activities. She is currently with us as Mrs. Tweed’s 2nd Grade long-term substitute.



We are excited to introduce our PreK Teacher for the 2024-2025 School Year, Hayleigh LaBelle . Originally from Bismarck, she currently lives in rural Stutsman county with her husband, Greg and four boys- Owen, Kip, Max and Miles.
She graduated from Mayville State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education and has taught 1st Grade at Pingree- Buchanan Elementary School for over six years. She also has experiences working as a paraprofessional, substitute teacher, library assistant, and family nanny. Her favorite subject is reading, and she loves picture books and play doh! In her spare time, you can find her reading, collecting plants, and chasing after her boys. She looks forward to joining the Carrington Public School family!
