Carrington Elementary has started a new individual recognition program called the Cardinals Care Award! Students can be recognized in the following categories: problem solving, safety, perseverance, friendship, kindness, respect, responsibility, positive choices, empowerment, resilience, and academic effort. Staff members can award this to one student by each Friday. Students receive a certificate, a tag to add to their collection, and recognition. Congratulations to our first group of recipients!

Thanks to Blue Cross Blue Shield ND Caring Foundation and Behavior Health Schools Grant, our Sources of Strength group was able to have national SOS trainers come to the school yesterday! Students, and a group of trusted adult advisors, learned a lot of valuable information, played fun games, and were able to bond as a group.

Congratulations to Mr. Hoeckle, not only on his retirement, but also on being awarded the annual Mary Scheck Service to Children award as voted on by his colleagues!

Carrington Public Schools partner with Foster County Public Health for school nursing services. In addition, they provide a plethora of meaningful programs for our students and staff! We are grateful for all of our community partnerships! Here are highlights from an alcohol prevention program completed annually with our 6th graders.

The staff prevail for another year in our annual students versus staff kickball game! Students who make their 4th quarter reading goals are put in a drawing for a place on the student team! It’s such a fun time! The staff is a very competitive bunch (and skilled)!

Congratulations to Calleigh Hewitt for making the Region II Softball All Region Team!!
