Welcome to the Carrington School District, Mitchell Becker!  We are so excited to have you on our team!

Carrington School District is pleased to announce our new Agricultural Education teacher, Mr. Mitchell Becker.  Mr. Becker has a degree in Agricultural Education from North Dakota State University and has been teaching for the past 11 years. He student taught in Carrington before graduating in December of 2011. 

Mr. Becker comes to Carrington with plenty of experience.  This includes teaching one semester at New Rockford High School and three years at Kenmare High School; he has spent the last eight years teaching and advising at Kindred High School. He has taught a variety of agricultural classes from Exploring Agriculture for 8th Grade to Horticulture and from Agricultural Mechanics Technology to Wildlife and Natural Resource Management. Mr. Becker shared that for every class he teaches, he strives to provide hands-on, real-world opportunities for students that allow them to explore the many career opportunities that the agricultural industry has to offer. He has provided leadership and growth opportunities for many FFA members over the years and has also coached numerous FFA Career Development Events at the state and national level. 

Mr. Becker and his wife Jessie have two boys: Callen, who is 4, and Caden, who is 1. They enjoy spending time with friends and family and being outside as much as they can.  Mr. Becker shared that he is looking forward to being a part of the Carrington community and is excited to teach at Carrington Public Schools.
