Good morning Carrington High School these are your morning announcements.

Happy Birthday today to Mr. Shipman.

The JH track meet in Lisbon today has been postponed.

The Baseball game with Kidder County today has been postponed.

The Boys JV Golf Meet in Leonard tomorrow has been cancelled.

There will be an FFA meeting in Mrs. Hansen’s classroom during I/E today.

Congratulations to Mollie Lindberg for receiving a silver in her fashion design sketch project at the state FCCLA convention yesterday.

All Sophomores through Seniors: Please turn your permission slip in to Bobbi at the office. All 10th, 11th, & 12th Grade students are invited whether you attend prom or not.

If you have not turned in your prom fee, prom contract or the guest form for an outside guest, you NEED to get these in ASAP!

Everyone who is attending prom needs to sign up for a time to take photos even if you are not ordering photos. The pictures will be used for the yearbook.

The FFA will be hosting their spring blood drive on Tuesday, April 20 from 9:00 – 12:30.  Anyone 16 years old and older may donate.  Please see Elizabeth Lee, Cayler Ellingson, or Lexi McClean to sign up for a time.

Happy Birthday to day to Landin Clifton, Mason Cook Mya Cook, Bryar Page.

We will continue our Assessment testing through April 20, 2021.

Our Spring Concert will be held on Thursday, April 22, at 2:00 and 7:00.Doors 1 and 7 will open by 1:30 and 6:30 for the public.

For the Month of February we had students write on heart the things they are grateful for. We had so many things listed that we will continue to report here each Tuesday the list of things we are thankful for in the previous week.

The Cardinal Way Award, this time, is given to a class or classes that have met the Art expectations.  Congratulations to Mrs. VanRay’s students and Mrs. Allmaras students!!

The Bismarck Larks and the Lignite Energy Council are looking for teachers who always have FUN, make learning AWESOME, and EXCITE and INSPIRE students.  If your child would like to nominate a teacher, applications are on the homework pick-up area.  Nominations are due by April 26th.

Attention Prom Attendees:

If you have not turned in your prom fee, prom contract or the guest form for an outside guest, you NEED to get these in ASAP! Also, if you wish to have a prom photo time slot, you need to get signed up for that as well.

Staff: Please remember to email Mrs. Foth by the end of the day to let her know if you plan to attend the Jr./Sr. banquet this Friday.

From the Library – Congratulations to 2 new million word readers – Baylee Lura and Leeland Brewer-Messmer.  Job well done!

Congratulations to the CHS speech team who won the regional championship on Saturday!  Dawsyn Anderson placed first in impromptu and second in radio, Bella Garr placed first in speech to persuade and second in speech to inform, Rori Ricter placed third in poetry, Mollie Lindberg and Kaley Kostelnik placed third in humorous duo, Gavyn Anderson placed first in serious prose, Sarah Hallwachs placed first in radio and first in speech to inform, Kaley Kostelnik placed seventh in serious prose, and Kendall Kovar and Sierra Friedt placed first in humorous duo.  Great job, everyone!

Boys golf practice will be in Mr.Morgan’s room after school today.

There will be a prom meeting today during IE in the P4 room.

The baseball team has a game today at Sheyenne/New Rockford starting at 4:30. Players will be dismissed at 2:45, bus will leave at 2:55.

The bus for the Regional Speech Meet will leave tomorrow morning at 7:30 from Door 8

From the Library – Krystal Klein has reached a major milestone of reading 5 million words!  Congratulations!  Join the million word readers in the month of April, and your name will go into the drawing for a $20 Hiway Drive-in gift card.

NHS members meeting today during I/E in room 8.  This meeting includes the new inductees.

The boys track team has a meet in Valley City today. They will be dismissed at 12:00 for lunch and bus departs at 12:30.

NHS Convention permission slips are due to Miss Michaelson by Thursday, April 8.

The next yearbook meeting is scheduled for Thursday at 3:15 in Miss Whipple’s room. If you are unable to attend, please make other arrangements with Miss Whipple.

Prom t-shirts will be ordered today so shirt sizes for you and your date NEED to be in by noon today! If you don’t get your shirt sizes in by noon today you will not receive a prom t-shirt.

From the Library – Congratulations to Grant Johnson for reading 1 million words!  Announcing our April Challenge – Join the 1 million word readers, and your name will be entered into a drawing for a $20 gift card to Hiway Drive-In.  We will be giving away 2 cards.  Finish the year strong!

April 6, 2021

Good morning Carrington High School these are your morning announcements.

The FFA Banquet will be held in the East Commons this evening.  The meal will be served from 6:15 – 6:45 PM.  The awards program will begin at 7:00 PM.  Please use Door 7.

Congratulations to the Jr. High and Sr. High Science Olympiad teams on qualifying for State competition in the Bismarck regional.  The senior high team finished 3rd and the junior high team finished 4th.  Both were the #1 class B team.  Individual results can be found on the science room doors and on the school website.

There will be yearbook meetings at 3:15 and 6:30 today. You only need to attend one of the meetings.

A huge congratulations to Ethan Roller for placing 8th in the entire state at the State MATHCOUNTS competition held on March 25! This is an amazing achievement! Way to go, Ethan! Also participating at the state competition were Molly Hansen, Jacob Boeshans, and Maxim Ciubotareanu. You all should be very proud of your accomplishments this year. Thank you for your dedication and hard work!
