Congratulations to Coach Greg Hoeckle for being named the Girls Region Coach of the Year!

The Golf team has regionals here at Crossroads Golf Course today starting at 10:00. Team will be dismissed at 8:50.

 The baseball team will be dismissed at 10:45 for the Region Baseball Tournament. They play Sheyenne/NR starting at 12:30PM.

 The Region III Baseball Tournament is being held here in Carrington starting at 10:00 today. Activity Passes will not be accepted. Ticket Prices are Adults $8.00 and Students $6.00.

 There will be yearbook meetings at 6:30 on Tuesday night and after school on Wednesday.  If you are unable to attend, please make arrangements with Miss Whipple.

 Help name the new football/track stadium.  Please stop by room 8 to grab a slip of paper to put your suggestion name on that paper. You will also need your name on this slip for your name to be considered by the school board.  Place the paper slip in the container – Football/Track Stadium Name Suggestions

Student devices will be collected on Tuesday (May 24) and Wednesday (May 25).  The schedule will be as follows:

7th Grade – Tuesday May 24 – 8:30 to 9:00
8th Grade – Tuesday May 24 – 9:00 to 9:30
9th Grade – Tuesday May 24 – 9:30 10:00

 10th Grade – Wednesday May 25 – 8:30 – 9:00
11th Grade – Wednesday May 25 – 9:00 – 9:30
12th Grade – Wednesday May 25 – 9:30 – 10:00

 If any Senior is interested in purchasing their laptop please stop in and discuss with Mr. Shipman.  Price will be $80.00.

All SOS Peer Leaders who want to participate in the Sunrise watch on the Football field followed by breakfast at the Chieftain the last day of school – May 26th- please text Jan by MONDAY NIGHT as she needs a count for the Chieftain reservations.

All students in grades 8-11 need to have their class schedules turned into Mr. Bitz by Wednesday, May 25.

Softball uniforms can be turned in at the West Commons area during IE until 10:15.

There is a Girls Wrestling Interest & Informational Meeting today at 10:20 in the HS Commons Area.

The Softball team plays in the first round of the Region 2 Softball Tournament tomorrow at 3:30 against Langdon/Edmore/Munich. Game will be taking place at Mayville State University. Bus will depart at 12:45PM.

Regional Track will take place in Hazen tomorrow starting at 11:00AM. Bus will depart at 7:30AM.

From the Library – Congratulations to Kacie Rexin for reaching 1 million words!  Great job finishing the year strong, Kacie!

Reminder – some of you still have fines due.  All fines $1 and up are half off for the remainder of the school year.

There is a V Golf Meet at Rose Creek today starting at 9:30. Bus left at 6:20.

There is an FFA meeting during I/E today.  Members attending State FFA Convention NEED to be at the meeting!

Congratulations to the FFA members that dominated the District Ag. Mechanics contest yesterday.  Jacob Rexin and Taylor Braaten tied for first place in the advanced division and Joe Lindberg placed first in the intermediate division.  Gabe Ricter placed first and Wyatt Kalliokoski placed third in the basic division.

There will be a yearbook meeting today at 3:15. Additionally, there is a yearbook meeting during I/E on Thursday. We still have a lot to do!

Any student who has had one year of French or will be taking one year of French by summer of 2024 who is interested in going on the trip to France in June 2024, can pick up information from Mrs. Hewitt.  There will also be an interest meeting tonight at 6:30 in room 5.  If you or your parents can’t attend, there will be a zoom link available.  If you can’t make either one, just pick up the information and let Mrs. Hewitt know if you have questions.

 Congratulations to the baseball team on their pair of 5-2 wins yesterday over Dakota Prairie/Midkota/Lakota/Griggs County and Sheyenne New Rockford.

 There is a Football Meeting for any students that played this year or are interested in playing this fall during IE in the Commons Area.

From the Library – All books are due back to the library today.  We are running an end of the school year special regarding fines.  If you have an outstanding fine which is $1 or more, you need only pay half of the cost.  This is in place until the last day of school.

 Congratulations to the Girls and Boys Track teams. Girls finished 2nd and the boys 6th in the Lloyd Memorial Track meet in Fessenden.

 Congratulations to Haley Wolsky for qualifying for the State meet in the 100 Hurdles, and Logan Weninger for qualifying for the 200 meters.

 The baseball team has games against Dakota Prairie at 2:30 and New Rockford Sheyenne at 4:30 in Tolna.
